Tong Huang is a postdoctoral associate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Before joining MIT, he was a postdoctoral researcher at Texas A&M University in 2021. He received his B.E. degree in Electrical Engineering from North China Electric Power University in 2013 and an M.S. and a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University in 2017 and 2021, respectively. He was a Visiting Student with the Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems, MIT, in 2018. His industry experience includes an internship with ISO-New England in 2018 and an internship with Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories in 2019. He received the Best Paper Award at the 2020 IEEE PES General Meeting, the Best Paper Award at the 54-th Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences, Thomas W. Powell’62 and Powell Industries Inc. Fellowship, and Texas A&M Graduate Teaching Fellowship. His research focuses on data analytics, cyber security, and modeling and control of power grids with renewables and energy storage.
